Some rotating IPAs deserve permanence. Like Voodoo Ranger’s Juicifer IPA.
That’s why we partnered with the appropriately named tattoo shop, Little Black Church, to make custom Juicifer-inspired tattoos.
Over 600 brave souls were willing to get inked and entered our the contest via Instagram.
Only four lucky winners walked away with a custom tattoo, blissfully spending an eternity with Juicifer himself.
To promote the giveaway, we created a video series called "Skin & Bones," which ran on Instagram.
In the first episode, "Symbols," artist Patrick "Fish" King describes the role tattoos play in our culture.
In the second episode, "Monsters," artist Jef Kopp talks about his affinity for the grotesque.
In the third episode, “Connection,” artist Adam van Deutekom explains the intimacy of creating work for someone who will carry it for the rest of their lives.
In the last episode, “Machines,” Logan LeBlanc describes his fascination with… machines.
Fun Fact: 2 weeks after this project, I got a tattoo from Logan. It’s not a frog on a motorcycle. (It’s a carrot.)
Here’s how it all went down in 57 seconds. Though the whole thing actually took 4 hours. Cheers to our winners who were total troopers.
