Aspen Snowmass has always been a values-driven company,
but that story has historically taken a back seat to their world-class ski offering.
As climate change becomes a more pressing threat to the ski industry itself,
those two messages now intersect.
So we set out to compel snowsports enthusiasts to protect their passion
by joining the fight against climate change.
Through the site, people can enter their zip code to find out who their elected official is and how they vote on climate.
They can then send them a pre-written tweet, urging them to care about climate, or thanking them for doing so.
Tweeting not your thing? The site tells you who to call and provides a script.
Phone fright? Download a PDF and mail it to your elected official. Boom. Out of excuses.
In print, we urged snowsports enthusiasts to vote for candidates who give a flake.
Then we went a step (or two) further by including tear-out prepaid postcards
for readers to sign and mail to three carefully-selected Senators.
